Dermal Fillers
Facial fillers are made of hyaluronic acid and their main purpose if to “fill in” wrinkles and restore facial volume. Hyaluronic Acid has the ability to retain the water in our skin, thousands of times its own weight, which is why it is used to hydrate the skin, as it strengthens the fibers that hold the skin tissue. As well as straightening the subcutaneous folds, it stimulates collagen production, which enhances and maintains the rejuvenating effect of the product.
The hyaluronic acid is injected in an area under the skin where there is no muscle but where there is a wrinkle. It creates a cushion which reduces the appearance of the wrinkle, helps re-elevate the cheekbones which have fallen or have sunken and hides the nasogenian folds effectively.
The use of Hyaluronic Acid helps prevent the free radicals and therefore ageing. It is reabsorbed over time, therefore the duration of its effects are limited, between 12 and 18 months.
Combination of procedures
Combined with other cosmetic procedures on the skin, like chemical peels, Botulinum Toxin or microdermabrasion, further improves the results. The combination of therapies may even help prevent the formation of new lines and wrinkle
